SolarBridge Heads to Colorado to Train Solar Workforce for State's Million Solar Roofs Initiative

SolarBridge Technologies brings its ACPV Revolution Roadshow to the Denver metro area to promote growth in the solar jobs industry.

AUSTIN, Texas (Feb. 4, 2013) –SolarBridge Technologies (SolarBridge), a leading provider of integrated microinverters that enable TrueACTM solar modules, is bringing its nationwide ACPV Revolution Roadshow and Training to the Denver metro area on Monday, Feb. 4. The training is being held in conjunction with the Solar Power Colorado conference, where the Colorado Solar Energy Industries Association is set to launch the Million Solar Roofs program.

Colorado is primed for huge solar growth over the coming years, with the goal to build 3 GW of solar energy – the equivalent of 20 percent of the state's energy needs -- by 2030. COSEIA's Million Solar Roofs campaign will lay the groundwork to dramatically increase the installation of all kinds of solar energy in use in Colorado, from small arrays on homes to large utility-scale projects, and from community solar gardens to industrial rooftop projects.

Through the ACPV Revolution Roadshow, SolarBridge is providing free technology training on ACPV systems, one of the fastest growing solutions in the solar industry. ACPV systems involve the installation of AC modules with integrated microinverters for a PV system that can be installed up to 50 percent faster than detached microinverter systems while improving design flexibility and producing up to 25 percent more power than string inverter systems.

At this event, experienced and aspiring installers will have the opportunity to gain hands-on training with TrueACTM modules powered by SolarBridge microinverters. Attendees will also have the opportunity to interact with the latest software monitoring tools and compete for prizes in an installation showdown. All participants will receive four continuing education credits from the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP), the leading solar workforce certification agency. The NABCEP training is presented in partnership with Ontility, a leader in solar education.

The SolarBridge ACPV Revolution Roadshow has been traveling the U.S. since November, with stops in some of the fastest growing U.S. solar markets. For a complete list of tour stops and to register, visit http://solarbridgetech.com/roadshow.

SolarBridge also recently announced the "Need for Speed" Installation Contest, open to installers throughout the continental U.S. and Hawaii. The installer with the most TrueAC systems commissioned each month will win an iPadTM mini, and the top five installers by September 30, 2013, will win a free trip to Austin, TX, to attend the Formula 1TM Grand Prix TM at the state-of-the-art Circuit of the Americas TM facility.
