CSP stakeholders join forces to grow the industry internationally in 2013

Senior level executives of the global Concentrated Solar Power Industry are gearing up to meet and engage in an industry strategy-planning meeting.

With leading developers and EPC's, government officials from emerging markets, international utilities and technology/solutions providers at the CSP Today Sevilla 2012 Conference & Exhibition on November 13-14 in Sevilla. The delegate list boasts an impressive 400+ attendees and organisers predict this is set to reach around 600 delegates on the day.


Luis Crespo, President of ESTELA will be providing a CSP industry's roadmap on the next steps necessary to reduce cost and become truly competitive for a bigger stake in the power generation market internationally.

"As President of ESTELA I will be offering an overview of how CSP is continuing to seize greater market share, as projects enter planning and construction and many more come into operation. Moreover, CSP technology is gaining more presence in the emerging markets with CSP programmes around the world becoming a reality".

Ayanda Nakedi, Senior General Manager Renewables Unit from Eskom; will be a member of the international delegations formed by government officials, investors and local/private companies from the most promising emerging markets at present for CSP. These delegations will be discussing the feasibility and opportunities of the diversification of the industry into South Africa, India, Chile and Morocco.

"In my session, I'll be providing the utility's perspective on the investment potential and opportunities for the CSP's South African market, as Eskom is currently discussing its role regarding developing, operating and maintaining renewables assets"

All stakeholders have a role to play in the establishment of the international strategy for the expansion of CSP in 2013, and Carlos Barrķa and Tatiana Molina from the Ministry of Energy in Chile, will also be on stage providing information about the local know-how, regulations, incentives and investment opportunities for the Chilean market.

The best practices for new markets and current projects in the planning, construction and operation stage overseas will be discussed in depth by leading developers with a strong international presence, including: Abengoa, ACS Cobra, Ibereolica Group and Schott Solar.

The speaker line up of 50+ will be sharing their experiences and provide the industry with a deeper understanding on how to identifying the best opportunities to develop a robust international strategy and secure a greater stake in the global energy market.
