WALNUT CREEK, CA (Oct. 3, 2012) -- Quick Mount PV, a leading manufacturer of flashed solar roof mounts, announced the appointment of Jeff Spies and Sam Cast to the positions of Vice President of Business Development and Vice President of Operations, respectively.

Spies joined Quick Mount PV in 2011 as Business Development Manager. In his new role, he will oversee the company's business development, training, and tech support functions, and lead company initiatives with industry partners.

Cast joined Quick Mount PV in 2011 as Operations Manager. As VP of Operations, he will direct all production activities, including supply chain management, manufacturing plans and schedules, and production and quality control standards.

Spies has been on the forefront of solar training since his entry into the PV industry in 2007. Thousands of people have attended his trainings and he is a regular speaker at major industry tradeshows and conferences. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Spies also serves as Secretary for the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP).

Before joining Quick Mount PV, Cast was Operations Manager at Safepath Industries, where he developed a new production process to enhance the appearance of the company's products, resulting in record sales. Cast has held operations management and supervisory positions in the building trades since 1984, including green building and solar installation.
