Rotterdam, 12 June 2006 -- The second "PV Business Tour Spain" from 17 to 21 September will focus on "Huertas Solares" or solar parks. This is the major market segment in Europe's second largest solar PV market. Part of the 4-day tour programme is a dedicated symposium on this topic and project visits. Included is also a visit to the only renewable energy exhibition in Spain in 2006: the Power Expo in Zaragoza. This will provide further unique opportunities to meet all major Spanish market players in just one week. The all-inclusive fee for the tour is € 2,950. The details and a registration form are available on the website www.solarplaza.com.
The organisation is provided by www.SolarPlaza.com, the global solar PV marketplace. All persons interested in experiencing and exploring Spain and its solar business and investment opportunities can register.
Programme
The 4-day programme includes a visit to the Spanish government agency responsible for renewable energy and to a Spanish manufacturer. Participants will be informed about the latest details related to Spanish PV market development during a presentation session. All major PV companies in Spain will be invited to join international participants in a Brokerage event in Madrid. This Brokerage event will end with an informal reception and dinner. A dedicated symposium on Solar Parks and project visits will focus on investment opportunities as well as project experiences realising these solar parks. Several solar parks have already been realised and many PV companies are currently developing these multi-megawatt ground-mounted PV projects. Private investors are offered a financial yield of at least 8% during 25 years. Some of the major players in this market segment will present their experiences and plans during the tour.
On the last day of the Spanish Tour, a visit will be made to the Power Expo exhibition in Zaragoza. This is the only significant Spanish business gathering with attention for renewable and solar energy in 2006. The programme therefore offers extensive networking possibilities with Spanish PV companies.
Market expectations
The purpose of the PV Business Tour Spain is to provide participants with an opportunity to assess and explore business and investment opportunities. International delegates can promote their company and products in Spain. The programme is fully organised with room for informal meetings and includes stays in 4-star hotels and all in-country travel arrangements. Invited to join are business owners, entrepreneurs and executives interested in developing partnership networks and who wish to discover investment opportunities. The Spanish Government has set the PV goal to 400 MW of installed capacity by 2010. The attractive feed-in tariff in Spain provides an excellent foundation for further market growth.
