(Nasdaq: ESLR), a developer, marketer, and manufacturer of photovoltaic (solar electric) products for the worldwide market, now has its solar panels installed on a technical school, near Rome. The school was named for a giant of another modern electrical invention, Guglielmo Marconi, the father of wireless technology.
Mastervolt Solar Italia installed the 10kW solar system, using Evergreen panels, under the Italian government's 10,000 PV Roofs program. The government subsidized 75 percent of the project through this program. The Marconi School is a technical high school with a thousand students located in Civitavecchia, near Rome. "Europe has long been a global leader in adopting PV technology, and European sales have been a key focus in Evergreen's global market strategy. We continue to export a majority of our products and the European market has strongly contributed to our robust sales growth. The Italian market represents continued diversification of our export revenues."
Fabio Guidi, General Manager of Mastervolt Solar Italia, said, "The system is working perfectly, and we couldn't be more pleased with the Evergreen Solar panels.
