Vision Quest Windelectric Inc. and ENMAX Corporation announced the completion of their $100 million McBride Lake Wind Farm. The 114-wind turbine, 75-megawatt, electricity generating facility is located near Fort Macleod, Alberta.

CALGARY, Alberta (July 2, 2003) - Vision Quest Windelectric Inc. and ENMAX Corporation announced the completion of their $100 million McBride Lake Wind Farm. The 114-wind turbine, 75-megawatt, electricity generating facility is located near Fort Macleod, Alberta.

"Canada's largest wind farm is now complete after only eight months of construction - on schedule and on budget," said Fred Gallagher, Vision Quest's Managing Director and CEO. "Our crews worked very hard through tough winter and spring conditions to exceed our target."

Construction on the wind farm began November 2002. Power first flowed in February 2003 and the last turbine was commissioned on June 21, 2003. The wind farm will produce about 235,000 MWh/year of electricity - enough energy to power more than 32,500 homes annually.

Vision Quest and ENMAX, through its wholly owned subsidiary ENMAX Green Power Inc., are equal partners in ownership of the McBride Lake wind farm, located eight kilometres south of Fort Macleod at McBride Lake. Vision Quest will operate the facility and ENMAX will purchase the output. In addition, the project is supported by the federal government's Wind Power Production Incentive program (www.canren.gc.ca/wppi).

ENMAX Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of ENMAX, provides wind-generated electricity to residential and commercial customers through its Greenmax program. At present, more than 4,000 residential customers and 200 commercial customers support the program.
