Tell us about Ampt

Ampt delivers innovative power conversion and communication technology that provides system level optimization of PV power plants. As the world’s number one optimizer company for large-scale systems, Ampt serves the global solar market with award winning products. The company is headquartered in Fort Collins, Colorado and has sales and support locations in North America, Europe, and Japan as well as representation in Southeast Asia, Australia and the Middle East.

Your company will be exhibiting at Intersolar & EES, what is it that makes this an important event for your company?

We exhibit at Intersolar and ESS because it’s a good opportunity to meet with existing partners and customers as well as meet new customers to share new product applications. For example, this year, we are focusing on the use of our String Optimizers in two applications. One is to repower existing PV systems to maximize annual project returns and the other is to lower the cost and increase the efficiency of DC-coupled storage applications.

What can a visitor to your booth expect to see this year?

Ampt will have representatives from leadership, business development, and field applications engineering to meet with visitors. We will also have our products and interactive kiosks for visitors to learn more about how our products can add value. Additionally, we will host pre-scheduled private meetings so interested companies can contact us in advance to schedule a time to meet with us.

Any new products you will be introducing?

Yes. Ampt will display new products for repowering existing PV systems to improve performance or to enable low cost replacements of legacy inverters when needed. Ampt’s new products are also used to lower the cost and increase the efficiency of DC-coupled storage applications.

When you get a chance to walk the exhibit hall floor yourself, what is it you will be most interested to see?

We look forward to seeing new products across the industry. More importantly, we appreciate time to speak with knowledgeable company representatives from a cross section of the exhibitors’ business areas to discuss commercial collaboration.

Intersolar has many educational sessions & Demo’s, is your company involved in any of them this year?

Not directly this year. However, we often do customer or partner training in our private conference room. We also have interactive kiosks in our booth for people to learn about optimizing new and existing PV systems using our String Optimizers.

When you book a booth for a tradeshow like this what are your expectations and what does your company hope to accomplish at the event?

We expect to increase the momentum of demand for our products and take advantage of the opportunity to have a high-density meeting schedule.  Tradeshows like this also provide the opportunity to finalize business transactions in person.
