Champions in Congress stand up for American wind workers

Highest wind turbines in the world go online

In Gaildorf, the first part of the pilot project for natural-energy storage supplies green energy with immediate effect. It starts with four wind turbines, which will produce wind power with a total nominal output of 13.6 MW. Another 16 MW from the integrated pumped storage power plant will be added at the end of 2018. The company and the community have so far been very positive on the project.

Farmers bank on solar power to stave off European water crisis

Steve Gillman for Horizon: Rising populations and climate change are putting pressure on the water needed for agriculture but a solar-powered irrigation system may reduce the amount that farmers use - while simultaneously slashing the sectors greenhouse gas emissions.

Final Version of Tax Bill Keeps ITC Intact, Allowing for Strong Solar Growth to Continue

"As an industry, we are pleased that the final version of tax reform legislation protects the Investment Tax Credit, and we look forward to continuing to deliver on our promise of affordable, reliable American energy."

Dead coal mines everywhere are being reincarnated as solar farms

Echo Huang for Quartz: The Berkeley Energy Group is planning to turn a strip mine in the Appalachians into a solar power plant that could produce somewhere between 50 to 100 MW of power in 2018.

Global Solar Photovoltaic Installations to Exceed 100 Gigawatts in 2018, IHS Markit Says

Strong demand for solar power in China in the first half of the year is expected to push total installed capacity to 108 gigawatts

Solar Energy World, ranked as Maryland's Number 1 residential solar company on Solar Power World's 2017 Top 500 solar companies list, announced today that it will begin operating in select counties in southern New Jersey in early January 2018.

Like Solar Energy World's Maryland, Washington DC and Pennsylvania customers, residents of New Jersey can go solar with Solar Energy World's RateGuardian™ PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) that allows homeowners to get solar panels installed for no cost to lock in a lower electricity rate than their utility, or they can purchase a solar system with or without financing, that can save them up to 100% on their electricity costs.

U.S. Solar Market Notches Another Quarter of 2 GW Growth, But Uncertainty Holds Back Installations

The U.S. installed more than 2 gigawatts (GW) of solar photovoltaics (PV) in the third quarter of 2017, despite experiencing higher prices across all market segments and major policy uncertainty.
