Flexible storage solution for homes, businesses and smaller industries

The storage specialist ADS-TEC will be presenting its new storage series in hall B1, booth 230 for the first time at "electrical energy storage" (ees) within the framework of "The smarter E Europe / Intersolar Europe 2019". The scalable series is particularly flexible with regard in terms of capacity and performance. In addition to an indoor solution, the portfolio from this medium power range is also supplemented by an outdoor version. The integrated emergency power function makes the storage system suitable for a variety of storage applications.

Based on decades of experience, ADS-TEC develops and produces high quality lithium-ion battery storage systems including energy management systems under the "StoraXe" label - especially for the professional sector in the industrial and energy supplier environment. The modular design provides almost unlimited options in terms of scalability and comprehensive IT solutions which enables reliable and economical operating and business models.

The StoraXe system series covers the need for flexible, medium-sized storage solutions for larger households, apartment buildings and businesses, industry and public institutions. Customer requirements can be met in the best possible way as a result of the scalability in terms of storage capacity and performance. The new portfolio includes storage systems with an installed capacity of 30 to 66 kilowatt hours. Systems with power of 20 to 60 kilowatt are available for this purpose.

The complete systems combine both the storage as well as the associated power electronics in one housing. This compact design means that the space-intensive installation of a separate inverter is no longer necessary. Only minimal installation work is required even in existing buildings, where often only limited space is available.

If there is not enough space in the building, the storage systems can also be supplied in an outdoor enclosure. The compact and air-conditioned outdoor housing allows them to be installed directly outdoors.

The integrated emergency power function and the comprehensive energy management system (EMS) mean these products can be used for a very wide range of applications. In addition to the classic "day-night shift", the energy management solution also includes an automated load peak shaving function. The integrated emergency power function also turns the system into a backup power system, providing a stable power supply in the event of a potential power failure. With off-grid and black start functions, the new series is ideal for off-grid applications. ADS-TEC offers a special solution for these applications, providing intelligent hybrid control of generators and consumers with high-performance hybrid storage systems.

The integrated connection to the established ADS-TEC cloud solution Big-LinX Energy no longer limits the application to local optimisation. With Big-LinX Energy, distributed storage systems can be controlled from a central point. This allows the implementation of swarm concepts and virtual memory with the simplest means, without using additional and often expensive hardware.

The new StoraXe systems will be presented for the first time and are expected to be available from autumn 2019.
