SAN DIEGO, Calif. December 7, 2016 -- San Diego-based Baker Electric Solar is pleased to announce it has won the coveted 2016 Better Business Bureau (BBB) Torch Award for Ethics. The Torch Awards for Ethics honors companies whose leaders demonstrate a high level of personal character and ensure their organizations business practices meet the highest standards of ethics. "To us, the Torch Award represents our on-going commitment to bring the highest business values to every one of our over 6500 customers, while empowering our employees for success and giving back to the community."

Each company that submitted for the 2016 award was required to address six ethics categories including leadership commitment to ethical practices; communications of ethical practices; leadership practices to unify the organization; organizational commitment to performance management; ethical human resource practices and community involvement. The six winners and nine finalists were chosen by an independent panel of respected San Diego business leaders. Company categories were determined by number of employees.
