KACO new energy and Saft provide storage systems in the 10 kWh range.
Creating the perfect solution for home and commercial "prosumers" keen to maximize their self-consumption.
Munich, 10. June 2015 - In a joint effort KACO new energy and Saft offer a storage solution for residential and small commercial solar PV installations.
KACO new energy GmbH and Saft are offering a new, highly flexible storage solution by combining two of their latest products: the blueplanet gridsave 14.0 TL3 three-phase bidirectional battery inverter and the Intensium Home 10M lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery. This package creates the perfect solution for home and commercial "prosumers" keen to maximize their self-consumption.
The blueplanet gridsave 14.0 TL3 can be coupled to many AC sources, such as the inverters of photovoltaic systems in order to store electrical energy, while the Intensium Home 10M comprises five Li-ion modules to provide both high power capability, rated at 10 kW, with 10 kWh energy storage in an aesthetically designed cabinet. Together they are ideally suited in photovoltaic installations up to 30 kW. This combination ensures the maximum efficiency, power and lifetime of Li-ion batteries with maximum comfort as prosumers will be able to follow their system's performance on their smartphones.
In addition to enhanced self-consumption, this combination offers advanced energy management with the capability to operate as part of swarm-type schemes. These swarms offer the possibility of aggregating several decentralised energy storage installations to improve grid stability by helping balance supply and demand, as well as offering financially attractive ancillary services to grid operators such as frequency control. The smart energy management system enables remote control of the storage device via Internet or other communication interfaces, for example to switch from self-consumption to frequency regulation.
About KACO new energy:
KACO new energy is amongst the world's largest manufacturers of solar inverters. With offices in 16 countries, the company offers inverters for every array size from the smallest homes to the largest solar farms of hundreds of Megawatts. KACO new energy is based in Neckarsulm, near Stuttgart, Germany and the production facilities there, in the Americas and Asia have supplied approx. 7 Gigawatts of inverters since 1999. The company was the first inverter manufacturer to achieve fully carbon-neutral production and is rapidly heading towards power self-sufficiency. KACO new energy also supplies energy storage systems and battery inverters, as well as inverters for combined heat and power plants and CPV systems. In 2014, KACO new energy celebrated the Centenary of the original company which was one of the first suppliers of inverters in the late 1930s. More information at www.kaco-newenergy.com
