EOCYCLE 25 is now CE compliant.
This milestone step was completed by capitalizing on the support offered by the CRIQ (Centre de Recherche Industrielle du Québec) for the preparation of the required standards assessment report.
Eocycle Technologies Inc., designer and manufacturer of innovative direct-drive wind turbines, is pleased to announce that its EOCYCLE 25 is now CE approved. This milestone step was completed by capitalizing on the support offered by the CRIQ (Centre de Recherche Industrielle du Québec) for the preparation of the required standards assessment report. The turbine is designed for Class II wind sites according to the IEC standard. After obtaining a prototype certificate for the Danish market, this regulatory step will allow the company to commercialize its technology in the markets of European countries once other local requirements have been met.
The EOCYCLE 25 generates more energy and less noise due to its variable speed, direct-drive (no gearbox) technology. These design particularities as well as the use of fixed pitch blades limit the number of moving parts for greater reliability and considerably lower maintenance costs than any of its competitors. This configuration is made possible thanks to the use of a transverse flux permanent magnet generator, a novel component patented by Eocycle, which has the advantage of allowing the manufacturer to exercise a flexible yet robust aerodynamic control of the EOCYCLE 25.
