Leading UK small wind turbine manufacturer Gaia-Wind Ltd, today announced the appointment of Sales & Marketing Director John Gallacher to the Board of Gaia-Wind as Director.

Leading UK small wind turbine manufacturer Gaia-Wind Ltd, today announced the appointment of Sales & Marketing Director John Gallacher to the Board of Gaia-Wind as Director.

John joined Gaia-Wind in March 2013. He has been Sales Director and VP of Sales for a number of market leading industrial brands, developing a track record of transformational roles, working with existing teams to deliver outstanding results and ultimately cash generation.

Gaia-Wind CEO Johnnie Andringa said, "We are delighted to have secured John as a director of Gaia-Wind.

"John's contribution to the work of the Board will draw on his consistency, diligence and drive to solidify Gaia-Wind's status as market leader within the global small wind turbine industry. John's position as a Director on the Gaia-Wind Board is effective from January 2014.

John Gallacher graduated from the University of Paisley in 1993 with a B. Eng. (hons) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering. Since then he has worked in a variety of sectors from Automotive to Infrastructure, and Consumer Electronics to Material Handling. These include:
• Sales Director – domestic, BDR Thermea;
• European Sales Director. Rolta; and
• Sales Director – Industrial, Rittal
