Worldwide Aeros Corp. (Aeros) will be an exhibitor at the AWEA Wind Power Conference and Exhibition in Chicago next week from May 5-8, with Igor Pasternak chief engineer of the Aeroscraft attending.

The business development team from Aeros will join members from the American Wind Energy Association, GE Power and Water, Vestas Americas, Goldwind USA, Inc., and others to provide a look at the Aeroscraft solution. The Aeroscraft will provide needed point-of-origin to point-of-need transportation capabilities to the wind energy industry and will support factory to facility logistics solutions for global commerce, especially for oversized and heavy equipment like wind turbines. The Aeros business development team will be at Booth #2321 to address recent milestones and the future direction of the Aeroscraft. Aeros founder and CEO, Igor Pasternak, Vice President Shenny Yao, and veteran lighter-than-air (LTA) pilot Corky Belanger will also be on hand.

"As an advanced hybrid airship, the Aeroscraft holds potential to revolutionize transportation logistics, especially in the wind energy industry, explains Pasternak, adding, "As wind towers and turbine blades grow larger to maximize efficiency and attain energy price competitiveness, new transportation solutions are vital." A single wind turbine can require up to eight transportation hauls (one nacelle, one hub, three blades and three tower sections). Yao elaborates, "The Aeroscraft can gain direct access to remote areas and eliminate costly intermodal changes, introducing game-changing innovation in the wind energy that should accelerate the introduction of clean energy to communities worldwide."

The Aeroscraft is able to compress inert helium for in-flight ballasting using a patent-pending control of static heaviness (COSH) buoyancy management system. This enables true vertical takeoff and landing flight without the external ballast required by other LTA vehicles. By being able to control the vehicle's heaviness, the Aeroscraft has eliminated the need for infrastructure and ground personnel from the equation. This has opened a new era for cargo logistics for wind energy producers among other industries around the world. Learn more at http://www.aeroscraft.com.

About Aeroscraft: An Aeroscraft is a new type of Rigid Variable Buoyancy Air Vehicle, designed to control lift in all stages of air or ground operations, including the ability to off-load heavy payloads without the need to re-ballast. The Aeroscraft creates a new paradigm for air transportation and logistical solutions. For the first time in history, an aircraft will be designed to control and adjust buoyant and dynamic lift, creating unique capabilities beyond what has traditionally been available. This exclusive aircraft is poised to disrupt the air transportation industry as we know it today, and provide tremendous opportunities for business and consumers globally. The key features of the Aeroscraft include a rigid structure, vertical takeoff and landing (access remote locations) and operational abilities at low speed, in hover and from unprepared surfaces.
