Growing Solar Thermal Provider to Double Manufacturing Space

SEPTEMBER 20, 2012 – Despite the state of the economy, Apricus Solar Co, Ltd., a leading global designer and manufacturer of solar hot water and hydronic heating products, is pleased to announce the expansion of their manufacturing facility in Nanjing, China. The new building will more than double the current space from 84,000 square feet to 165,000 square feet.

Mick Humphreys, Apricus CEO provided some insight into the investment that will total more than 1.5 million USD.

"Given significant sales growth and development of new products this year, we require a lot more space. The building will house a new flat plate manufacturing line, controller assembly area and plenty of space for new projects that are in the development pipeline. Despite the weakness of the global economy we are experiencing good growth and are very ambitious about the future. A key focus in 2012 has been adding additional management and sales staff to the team, and so far it is paying off with sales up significantly from 2011 levels."

The new building is set for completion by the end of 2012, with production activities beginning early first quarter of 2013.

In addition to the Apricus manufacturing facility in Nanjing, China, the company partners with local manufacturing facilities in the USA to offer Buy American products such as the AP-30C solar collector which is suitable for projects funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
