Advanced Solar Photonics Launches American Private Power Plant
Turnkey Power Generation System to Meet Growing Demand for Distributed Energy Generation
Lake Mary, FL., August 20, 2012, Advanced Solar Photonics, LLC (ASP), an American manufacturer of photovoltaic (PV) equipment and provider of turnkey alternative energy systems, today announced it has launched the American Private Power Plant (AP3) - a turnkey PV solar power generation system.
AP3 is a turnkey distributed generation system that produces electricity at the point of consumption, minimizing line losses and maximizing energy efficiency. The AP3 is designed to be modular and scalable. By combining individual modules, any size system can be created for any application from 25 kW to 1 MW. Each module comes as a complete turnkey system with all necessary equipment and balance of system components.
AP3 provides companies with freedom from electricity price increases, security of power supply and independence from the electric utility. Distributed Energy Generation (DEG), also called on-site generation, produces power at the point of consumption. As a revolution in electricity supply, DEG may one day replace the current centralized generation model, where electricity is produced in large centralized facilities with coal, oil, gas and nuclear fired power plants. The features of the American Private Power Plant system include:
* Power Generation
* DC Energy Collection
* DC to AC Conversion
* Energy Storage
* AC Collection
* Grid Interconnect
* Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition
AP3TM systems feature photovoltaic modules, inverters, electrical components and support structures manufactured by Advanced Solar Photonics, one of the largest photovoltaic equipment manufacturers in the U.S.
