WELSPUN Solar, India appoints meeco as Engineering and Pre-Operational Technical Consultant

As a leader in PV-based clean energy, The meeco Group has provided clients with clean energy

advisory services and turnkey technology solutions and it now announces its involvement in a 50 MW
solar project in Rajasthan, India.

After several rounds of discussions between Welspun Solar, India and The meeco Group on the
addition of value by the Swiss group in Welspun PV solar projects in India, The meeco Group was
appointed as "Engineering and Pre-Operational Technical Consultant" for the upcoming 50 MW PV
solar project in Rajasthan, India. The meeco Group and its Indian subsidiary, meeco India Pvt. Ltd.,
will be involved in the project. As per the agreement signed between both parties, it is foreseen that
The meeco Group will actively lead a thorough analysis of the areas where value can be added
including:
• Review of DC basic engineering
• Review and optimization of plant layout
• Review and optimization of civil and structural basic engineering

"The scope of the proposal and agreement is to provide technical consultancy via an in-depth project
innovation process. This latter consists in focussing on critical project areas which result in technical
upgradation, cost savings and reduction in the commissioning time", explains Tarun Munjal, Country
