Mortenson Construction to build 2.4 MW Solar Project in Laurinburg, North Carolina

Located on a 12 acre site in the Sandhills region, the 2.4 megawatt (MW) system is expected to generate approximately 3.5 million kilowatt hours (kWhs) of clean electricity on an annual basis--the equivalent of electricity usage for approximately 600 homes.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN - January 23, 2012

Mortenson Construction today announced their selection as EPC contractor by
San Francisco-based MP2 Capital, a leading developer, financier and operator
of solar facilities throughout North America, to construct the largest
photovoltaic (PV) solar array to be built in Scotland County.

Located on a 12 acre site in the Sandhills region, the 2.4 megawatt (MW)
system is expected to generate approximately 3.5 million kilowatt hours
(kWhs) of clean electricity on an annual basis--the equivalent of
electricity usage for approximately 600 homes.

As EPC contractor Mortenson will provide design and engineering services as
well as install all project components, which will include Trina
multicrystalline modules, Northern States Metal Solar FlexRack racking
systems, and SMA inverters. Construction crews will break ground in January
and expect to complete the project by the end of April 2012.
