Schneider Electric will exhibit solar solutions at Solar Power International 2011, North America's largest solar trade show and conference, from October 17-20 in Dallas, Texas. In addition, senior staff engineer Dr. Andrew Swingler will speak at the conference's concurrent session on Power Electronics on October 20 from 10:30 am - 12:00 pm.

Schneider Electric experts will be on hand at Booth 1909 to discuss bankable solutions for the residential, large and small commercial buildings and utilities as well as off grid and battery backup markets. Also featured will be a Schneider Electric EVlink electric vehicle charging station, including both utility and residential applications, plus the new downloadable solar system design tool.

As one of the sponsors of the SPI Block Party, Schneider Electric will host the Brazos Room party in Gilly's Dallas. Visitors can pick up a solar calculator at the booth on October 18 for a chance to win an iPod Shuffle that evening at the Block Party.

"We're excited to be participating again in the Solar Power International trade show and conference, sharing our expertise and proven technologies," said Laurent Bataille, Senior Vice President, Renewable Energies Business, Schneider Electric. "Besides the products on display at our booth, Schneider Electric provides full engineering, procurement, contracting and management services, all backed by a global supply chain and best-in-class customer service."

Among the Schneider Electric products at SPI will be the new Conext™ TX range of single-phase inverters, with models ranging from 2.8 to 5 kW. Conext TX inverters use Schneider Electric's Fast Sweep technology, containing an innovative maximum power point tracking (MPPT) feature that helps ensure increased energy harvest in shaded conditions. They are easily installed as a single inverter for a single photovoltaic (PV) array or in a multiple-inverter configuration for larger PV systems.

Also presented will be the new Schneider Electric Conext Core XC Series, a new line of central inverters designed for high efficiency and flexibility for any PV panel type and installation. The Atlas XC series has peak efficiencies of 98.7%, and its flexibility allows the inverter to be configured with voltage and power outputs up to 680 kVA. In addition, the Atlas XC series is designed to allow for DC inputs up to 1000 Vdc for longer string lengths.

Another highlight of the booth will be the Schneider Electric PV Box, a customizable pre-wired equipment package specifically designed to meet the growing demand of a large-scale grid-tied solar farms and large commercial installations in any region of the world, even in the harshest environments. The PV Box is a complete solution, including power conversion, electrical distribution, control, monitoring, and communication, all from one vendor.
