DEGERenergie: Strong demand for MLD tracking in the USA - Solid growth of renewable energy worldwide
The worldwide renewable energy boom continues. Now, the euphoria has also arrived in the American solar market. This is what DEGERenergie reports from the Intersolar North America. With more than 45,000 systems installed worldwide, DEGERenergie is the global market leader for solar tracking systems.
The Intersolar North America 2011 organizers recorded an "impressive growth", as the event, despite the difficult overall economic conditions, has grown in all areas in recent years. This year, 839 exhibitors from all over the world had travelled to San Francisco – 17 percent more than in 2010. More than 22,000 visitors learned about the most recent trends and technologies for solar energy generation.
DEGERenergie profited from this spirit of optimism as well. The booth of the world market leader for solar tracking systems was constantly crowded with visitors showing great interest in tracking systems in general, and particularly in DEGERenergie's patented MLD technology.
What surprises recently is the diversity of the demand in the United States. Not only potential investors and solar park operators were interested in information about the most efficient technology DEGERenergie offers for medium and large-scale solar projects – more than ever, specific inquiries also came from individuals wanting to benefit from the advantages of MLD tracking. Michael Heck, Vice President Marketing & Sales at DEGERenergie, puts it like this: "The issue of self-supply is rapidly gaining importance – not only in Germany."
The Intersolar Germany in June 2011 and the Intersolar North America substantiated the worldwide boom in the renewable energy and particularly the photovoltaics sector. In the first half of 2011, DEGERenergie achieved a growth of approximately 50 percent compared to the first six months of the previous year and, by the middle of the year, reached the mark of 45,000 systems delivered worldwide. Michael Heck: "In the industry, word has spread that MLD technology from Horb not only generates the highest yield and therefore the fastest ROI, but is also highly reliable."
DEGERenergie was founded in 1999 by Artur Deger and today is the world market leader in solar tracking systems. Worldwide, approximately 45,000 DEGERenergie systems have been installed in over 40 countries. The company is represented in Spain, Greece and North America with its own subsidiaries and cooperates with local distribution and service partners in many countries across the world. The patented DEGERenergie Maximum Light Detection (MLD) technology makes it possible to improve the energy yield of solar power plants by up to 45 percent compared to fixed systems.

About DEGERenergie (www.DEGERenergie.com):
DEGERenergie is the leading manufacturer with the world's largest product range of single and dual-axis solar tracking systems. The company's market position is based on the unique patented Maximum Light Detection (MLD) technology developed by Artur Deger, which makes it possible to maximize the yield of solar power plants with an "intelligent" control. With the DEGERconecter, the solar modules are thus always aligned according to the brightest position in the sky with the highest energy yield. This way, the overall energy yield of solar power plants with MLD tracking is up to 45 percent higher than that of fixed systems and this difference is even more pronounced for peaks. With approximately 45,000 systems installed in more than 40 countries, DEGERenergie is the global technological market leader. The company offers its customers all product related solutions – from the development and planning, production and sales to maintenance and service.
In its headquarters in Horb (Germany), its subsidiaries and supplier companies, DEGERenergie is currently employing a staff of nearly 400. The company was founded in 1999 and in 2001 won the Inventor Award of the German state of Baden-Württemberg for the MLD control module DEGERconecter. In 2005, DEGERenergie opened its first subsidiary in Spain, followed by subsidiaries in the USA and Greece in 2009. Additional business locations are planned for 2011. The company's production sites are located in Germany, Canada and the USA. CEO is Artur Deger.
You can't always rely on the weather. But you can rely on an intelligent control system from DEGERenergie.
