Tucson solar installers have noticed a concerning trend: the decreasing quality of residential and commercial solar installations. Therefore, they have decided to fight back.

Over the last year, Tucson solar installers have noticed a concerning trend: the decreasing quality of residential and commercial solar installations. In order to combat this trend, the Southern Arizona Solar Standards Board was formed by local solar installers to ensure the highest level of quality of solar power in the greater Tucson area.

Arizona is one of the best places in the world for harvesting the power of the sun and converting it into electricity. Additionally, there are local and federal subsidies that encourage the purchase and installation of Solar Panels. Due to these facts, Tucson, Arizona has been in the middle of an economic solar explosion over the last few years. Unfortunately, when economic booms occur not every business is concerned about the quality of the work performed. Therefore, a group of local solar power installers have formed a board entitled Southern Arizona Solar Standards Board. The new standards board, which will be housed under PAG's Energy Program, will act as an oversight board to work with solar installation companies to ensure "best practices" as solar installations soar in Southern Arizona.

The Southern Arizona Solar Standards Board Mission is to protect consumers and ensure the long-term success of the Arizona solar industry by promoting best practices, educating the general public and encouraging solar businesses to install long-lasting quality installations.
