EMMS announced the launch of a new product line, thermostat systems with monitoring and reporting capabilities all designed to modify resident behaviors and reduce energy use.
The thermostat systems report valuable "energy information" that is critical to modify resident behaviors, determine energy upgrades and promote energy conservation.
Thermostat System Identifies:
• System tampering
• Windows and door left open
• Poor heating/cooling system designs
• Residents using alternate heat sources
Thermostat System Features Include:
• Web based application for Management control of temperature limits
• Vacant unit temperature control
• 7 Day - 4 Period Programmable Remote Thermostat
• Easy to use windows based program - Global or Individual unit setting capability
• Monitoring
o Collects hourly room temperature and heating/cooling system operation
• Reporting
o Reports average daily unit temperature against thermostat settings
o Reports high energy users
o Identifies individual or unit abnormalities
EMMS offers a full suite of thermostat systems. The Comfort Monitor (patent pending) remote thermostat system, is the most attractive, low cost system which employs a frequency agile 900 MHz wireless network with two way communication to control apartment temperatures accurate within 1 degree Fahrenheit. Hourly apartment temperature and heating/cooling system operation is monitored and uploaded to the on-site Comfort Monitor Data Collector. Data is uploaded to web based hosted data base program for all processing. Thermostat design for resident use is manual operation only to raise or lower room temperature up to the remotely controlled set point. Both room temperature and set temperature are displayed continually in extra large numerics for ease of reading.
