SUNGREEN SYSTEMS TEAMS WITH MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC & ELECTRONICS USA ON COMMERCIAL-SCALE PROJECTS
LOS ANGELES, April 11, 2011 — As the demand for solar energy continues to rise, two established players in the industry are working together to better serve commercial-scale projects.
SunGreen Systems, Inc., a solar-energy system design-and-installation firm, is now working with Mitsubishi Electric & Electronics USA, Inc.'s Photovoltaic Division (Mitsubishi Electric), a part of one of the world's leading providers of solar power technology with over 35 years experience in developing and manufacturing photovoltaic products.
Mitsubishi Electric will provide SunGreen with solar panels for the US market. SunGreen will then integrate these panels into customized systems for medium to large commercial clients. The two companies will also collaborate on marketing.
"This alliance comes at the perfect time," said SunGreen Chairman and CEO Y.Y. Lin. "With concern about foreign oil and nuclear power making headlines, more and more businesses are thinking about cleaner, more reliable sources of power. Hotel operators, in particular, are calling us for green solutions. Together with Mitsubishi Electric, we can readily meet everyone's needs."
"With their extensive experience in architecture and real estate, the team at SunGreen Systems has a deep appreciation of solar technology's role in making buildings more sustainable," says Gina Heng, vice president and general manager of Mitsubishi Electric & Electronics' photovoltaic division. "We are delighted they have chosen us as a supplier"
SunGreen Systems has designed and installed systems for such commercial clients as Western Regional Delivery Service, Best Western Thousand Oaks Inn, Quality Inn of Ontario, and Central Health Plan of California, with a system being planned for radio station KPFK Los Angeles. Based in Irwindale, California, the SunGreen team consists of architects, real-estate developers and solar-energy experts. Learn more at http://www.sungreensystems.com.
