Sequoyah Paradise, a manufacturer of outdoor wood furnaces has developed a new outdoor wood furnace that uses downdraft gasification to make the furnace much more efficent, and produce less emissions.
This furnace was then tested by Intertech Labrotories, on of the premier emission testing labrotories in the country to see if it would meet the stringent EPA Owhh voluntary emissions levels. When the testing was complete the results show that the emissions produced were almost 50% less than the new standard.
The furnace was developed after 2 years of design and testing of many different designs. Most companies have tried to get these type of results by using catylists or by doing very hot short fires. Neither of these designs have proven to work good enough to pass the new standars. Sequoyah Paradise has developed a patent pending design that still uses many of the same advantages of the current models, but incorporates downdraft design with 40 feet of super heated firebrick to burn up the emissions before exiting the furnace.
The furnace is already in production and will be shipping by the end of September 2007. More information about this exciting new furnace can be found at www.wdheat.com
