(Nasdaq: ESLR) today announced it is featuring its revolutionary new Quad furnace technology at its exhibit during the Solar Power Conference in Long Beach, California (September 25-27). The ground-breaking innovation evolved from Evergreen's proprietary String Ribbon' technology. Quad furnace operations will increase manufacturing and product efficiencies while strengthening String Ribbon's' status as a scaleable, exportable technology.

Feldt said that in addition to substantially augmenting Evergreen's manufacturing and product efficiencies, Quad technology also improves the Company's industry-leading environmental credentials. The advanced furnace further reduces the carbon footprint of Evergreen panels, which is already the smallest of any panel on the market.

In the String Ribbon' process, a set of special parallel strings are pulled continuously through a small molten pool of silicon inside a custom furnace. A thin "ribbon" is created between the two strings as the silicon cools and re-crystallizes. The ribbon is then cut into wafers, which are converted into solar cells and used in the production of solar panels - all under one roof. The process is continuous, clean and efficient. Evergreen's current String Ribbon' technology produces two ribbons at one time, while Quad creates four ribbons simultaneously.
