New Products Specifically Engineered to Maximize Solar Energy Production

SUNNYVALE, Calif., June 2, 2005 - SunPower Corp., a Silicon Valley-based subsidiary of Cypress Semiconductor Corp. (NYSE: CY), today announced the introduction of a comprehensive new line of SunPower inverters. The new inverters will be offered to SunPower's North American customers as part of a fully engineered high-performance system solution.

SunPower's new inverters are offered in three power ratings: 2,000 watts (120V), 2,900 watts (208V) and 3,200 watts (240V). Each model is designed specifically to match the electrical characteristics of the company's ultra-high efficiency solar panels, thereby maximizing system energy production every day, all year long. All of SunPower's inverters have received the highest efficiency rating in their class as part of an independent testing program developed by the California Energy Commission. The new product line also carries the best warranty available as a standard feature.
