FRONIUS IG inverters available in the USA
The IG inverter, introduced in European markets in 2001, has quickly gained market share due to its advanced Plug-n-Play topology which offers high efficiency, precision MPP-tracking, and active cooling, all of which result in superior energy production from photovoltaic systems.
Fronius International will be introducing its highly successful grid-tied photovoltaic inverters - the FRONIUS IG series - into the United States this year.
The IG inverter, introduced in European markets in 2001, has quickly gained market share due to its advanced Plug-n-Play topology which offers high efficiency, precision MPP-tracking, and active cooling, all of which result in superior energy production from photovoltaic systems.
At 31 lbs, both the IG 2000 and IG 3000 inverters are half the weight of competing inverters. Advantages are reduced shipping costs, reduced material consumption and easier and safer installation. FRONIUS IG inverters come standard with a LCD user interface/display where the installer and user can view and record over 20 parameters pertaining to inverter and system operation. Optional remote data communications and data logging features can easily be added via Plug-n-Play cards to transform IG inverters into a sophisticated data acquisition system and weather station.
FRONIUS IG inverters are currently undergoing UL testing and certification and will be available from US distributors and dealers by the end of 4th quarter 2003. Fronius is already present in the US with an office in Brighton, Michigan and will be establishing a west coast office to support and service US inverter sales. Therefore Fronius is currently seeking qualified candidates for sales, management and technical positions.
