Tell us a little bit about Rolls Battery and the history of the company.
Surrette Battery Company Ltd. is one of North America’s leading lead-acid battery producers and Canada’s only remaining independent battery manufacturer. As the exclusive manufacturer of Rolls-branded deep cycle batteries, we have been manufacturing at our facility in Springhill, Nova Scotia since 1959. We offer a full range of premium quality traditional Flooded and sealed AGM & GEL VRLA models used in Renewable Energy, Marine, Motive Power and Railroad applications.
Your company will be exhibiting at SPI 2018, what is it that makes this an important event for your company?
Solar Power International & Energy Storage International continue to offer excellent value and opportunity for manufacturers and service providers in the Renewable Energy industry. This annual event allows us to reconnect face-to-face with many of our existing customers, partners and to explore new opportunities in various markets around the world.

We will be showcasing our most popular flooded, AGM & GEL models used primarily in residential-scale off-grid applications as well as larger-scale commercial backup and off-grid projects such as community electrification initiatives & diesel generator replacement.
SPI 2018 has many educational sessions & Demo’s, is your company involved in any of them this year?
We will be hosting an energy storage session on Sizing, Installation & Maintenance for Battery-Based Residential Systems on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM at Storage Central: Booth 3386
When you get a chance to walk the exhibit hall floor yourself, what is it you will be most interested to see? Any educational sessions you plan on attending?
When walking the show floor we are most interested in exploring the launch of new products and any updates to system components related to off-grid and other battery-based systems.
When you book a booth for a tradeshow like this what are your expectations and what does your company hope to accomplish at the event?
When exhibiting at SPI and similar shows, our goal is to provide easy and direct access to our team, allowing us to answer questions and provide information on our current product lines, troubleshoot and assist with initial system design for new and existing customers and to direct potential customers to our distribution partners for pricing & availability.
A tradeshow of this magnitude is extremely busy and stressful for the staff of exhibiting companies. Any fun things or places your team can suggest in Anaheim to help unwind?
Although the show is very hectic and days are long, we encourage attendees to participate in any show-organized event such as the annual block party as this allows an opportunity to unwind while still connecting with industry professionals.
