Tell us about your company.
AllEarth Solar is a division of AllEarth Renewables, Inc. Based in Williston, Vermont, AllEarth Solar manufactures and distributes the AllEarth Solar Tracker, a dual-axis solar tracker, to a dealer network across the country. The tracker follows the sun throughout the day via GPS system, providing up to 45 percent more of the day’s energy potential and offering a higher return on investment. From small commercial installations to residential systems, AllEarth Solar Trackers are the go-to product for customers looking for a high-end, high-efficiency, American made solar solution.
We’re passionate about what we do and where we are. Far from being an overnight success, we’ve earned national recognition by taking our thirty years of experience in the renewable energy industry and constantly innovating our products, our thinking, and our goals.
Your company will be exhibiting at SPI 2018, what is it that makes this an important event for your company?
This event is important to us as manufacturers in the solar industry. Solar power International is the number one event to showcase our latest innovations and products. Our team-members that make the trip benefit from connecting with industry contacts and making new connections. SPI is also a great place to discover new innovations, trends, and companies in the solar trade.
Highlight 2 or 3 products you will be showcasing at the event?
Our main focus will be showcasing our latest addition to the AllEarth Solar Tracker family, Gen 4. Gen 4 key features include an electrically powered motor with a sleek design and incomparable efficiency. The Computer Control system is updated with new power monitoring features, allowing power generation and mode status to be checked with ease. Gen 4 is a self-powered, grid-tied system which allows it to keep following the sun even when the grid is down, because the tracker draws energy from the panels and stores it in a small battery.
SPI 2018 has many educational sessions & Demos, is your company involved in any of them this year?
AllEarth will not be presenting at any of the educational sessions or demos this year, however we are excited to attend many of these events. We will also be offering demonstrations of our solar trackers (with a life-size model) at our booth, 1471!
Previously, our Founder & CEO David Blittersdorf moderated a panel on "Reports from the Field: O&M Challenges from Residential, Commercial and Utility Scale Leaders".
When you get a chance to walk the exhibit hall floor yourself, what is it you will be most interested to see? Any educational sessions you plan on attending?
There are a number of sessions that look interesting for us, the following are very high on our list: State Market Outlook, Riding the Wave: An Inside Look at the Solar M&A Market, Current Financing Outlook and Trends in the Solar Market and The Future of Solar in the Northeast, has particular interest to us as a company located in the Northeast.
When you book a booth for a tradeshow like this what are your expectations and what does your company hope to accomplish at the event?
We’re expecting to connect with our existing dealer partners and generate interest from new potential partners, especially in strategically important markets. At the end of the event, we’re expecting to return to Vermont with a healthy list of prospective partners, brains full of new information, a renewed sense of possibility for what we can do, and perhaps a sun tan if we can get outside for a little while.
A tradeshow of this magnitude is extremely busy and stressful for the staff of exhibiting companies. Any fun things or places your team can suggest in Anaheim to help unwind?
Other than enjoying the warm change in scenery from our home in Vermont, we plan to take advantage of the area while we are there! Many of us are taking a few extra days to visit family and friends while in the area, and of course, we will be taking advantage of the show’s proximity to Disneyland!
