At SPI 2017:

Energy Storage International:  Presented by Solar Power International

Energy Storage International, co-located Solar Power International, paves the way for synergy between energy storage and solar markets. As energy storage increases the power of solar by storing and releasing energy on-demand where it is needed on the grid, both utilities and others can take advantage of increased revenue and customer satisfaction. In 2015, 221 MW of energy storage was installed in the U.S. and that number is estimated to reach 1.7 GW by 2020.

SUNSHOT START-UP ALLEY:

SunShot Start-Up Alley features emerging solar companies developing cutting-edge technologies and innovative business models that will lower the cost of solar energy. Visit the pavilion on the exhibit floor and stop by the Innovation Theater on Tuesday, September 12 from 10:00 am – 3:45 pm to listen to these game-changing companies make their pitch to a panel of industry experts.

Smart Energy Microgrid Marketplace:

The 2017 Smart Energy Microgrid Marketplace will feature a fully-functioning microgrid, energy management systems, automation products, electric vehicle charging stations, energy storage providers, and solar panel manufacturers—ultimately making the connection between solar power and smart products. Get an insider's view and learn what's happening in the marketplace by watching the video on the right.

The Technical Symposium:

The Technical Symposium is a brand new program at SPI, which will offer professionals from the academic, R&D, technical and scientific disciplines in photovoltaics, energy storage and ‘smart’ energy the opportunity to submit abstracts for peer review, presentation and discussion, and publication at the largest gathering of the solar community in North America.

Educational General Sessions:

The General Sessions at SPI celebrate the ever emerging possibilities of the solar industry. High-profile speakers bring future insight into the state of our rapidly evolving business. Attendees will leave General Sessions equipped with the key perspectives they will need as they navigate the “what’s next.”

Check out the full schedule of Educational Sessions.
