2 October 2012. PROINSO has recently delivered 200kW to three solar PV projects developed in Puerto Rico. Specifically, PROINSO supplied PV materials to:

- A 45kW project for the Catholic University in the city of Arecibo.

- A 65kW project for a car dealer based in San Juan.

- Finally, a 90kW project for a hostel on Vieques Island.

PROINSO has thus strengthened its position as a distributor in the Caribbean country. To these, we should add 60kW supplied to other solar PV projects in the Dominican Republic, and the about 500kW the company is planning to deliver in several Caribbean countries by 2013.

PROINSO has announced it will continue to expand in the Americas. The company is now studying the possibility of working with firms in Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Panama and Brazil. In these countries, the firm has 29 Qualified Installers at present.

PROINSO – a multinational company that supplies modules, inverters, trackers, fixed structures and other solar PV materials for ground- or roof-mounted solutions like batteries or charge regulators – expects sales in emerging countries to rise from 5% to 15% of total sales over the next years.
